1.你所了解的校园APP(优缺点)及其使用现状;

2.请为校园APP的规范管理提出建议。

My View on Apps for College Students

Originally intended for productivity assistance, mobile apps, such as the app for fetching hot water, one for getting credits, one for checking-in, whether installed compulsively or not, might have failed to facilitate students’ normal lives as they once promised. Although mobile apps are playing an ever-increasing role in university students’ daily lives, the fundamental reason behind their compulsory use is to have treated college students as potential targets for profit-making, particularly when the app is linked to students’ credits. Worse still, once bundled with commercial advertisements, the installment of apps has, undoubtedly, become a naked infringement on the rights and interests of college students.

How should we tackle this problem? To avoid the mandatory use of app binding college students, firstly, mobile apps should be strictly regulated and reviewed. It is strongly recommended that relevant departments of education should perfect the rules for the promotion of apps in colleges and universities, and guard against bad apps disturbing the teaching order.

Secondly, APP market should be purified. We should not only ensure the overall quality of apps in the market, but put more emphasis on the supervision of apps entering the campus as well. It is suggested that an app, if designed and integrated correctly, should yield more benefits for students.

Thirdly, students' choices should be respected. Instead of creating more phubbers, what colleges and universities should be doing is to respect students' willingness and make their management more democratic and scientific.
